Please check here for the latest goings-on
at RGLCH PRICE FREEZE 2012 In line with current weather there is a price
freeze once again - prices will remain the same as 2011. WHAT ABOUT THE DOG?! Have added a new section HERE for customers with dogs.NETWORK DISRUPTION 29TH SEPTEMBER We have been warned by BT that they intend to "upgrade" our line to improve our broadband speed. This could involve some disruption/loss of internet/landline during the day. Personally I doubt that short of replacing the copper cable with fibre optic, or moving the exchange closer, we will see any benefit. More likely disruption will continue into following days.
We apologise to customers for any inconvenience this may cause. Please try our normal landline number as normal. If, however, there appears to be an issue getting through, then please dial the following temporary number:
(removed) Customers should note that it is usual for us to not pick-up straight away between 0800-1030, as this is when we have our hands wrist-deep in litter trays.
Thank you for your patience!
VAT & PRICE INCREASE 2011 On 4th January 2011, standard rate VAT will increase from 17.5% to 20%. For those customers who are leaving their cats in our care for a period which spans this date, we are required to charge VAT at 17.5% for dates up to and including the 3rd January, for those days from 4th until the end of the stay, VAT will be charged at 20%. Legislation known as Anti-Forestalling has been introduced, which prevents us from accepting payment in advance for the whole stay which spans the 4th January 2011, based on a VAT rate of 17.5%. With the increase in VAT, and having absorbed increasing costs over the last 3 years, we must now review our prices. A new scale of charges will become applicable from 4th January:
These prices are inclusive of VAT and are based on the RPI September 2010. We have compared ourselves with other catteries of similar size and standard, (not necessarily local catteries,) and believe these prices are both fair and realistic for the times ahead. You can be assured that our high standards of care, love and attention given to your cats will always be without question. Their welfare and your peace of mind is and always will be our priority. 2010 - VOLCANIC ACTIVITY - CONTINGENCY OPERATIONS @ RGLCH We would like to reassure customers that we have implemented a contingency plan at RGLCH, to cover any disruption caused by our old friend Eyjafjallajökull. (Pronounced: "EY-yah-fyah-lah-YOH-kuul" apparently.) This summer we will be reducing our overall capacity slightly, to allow for delays to anyone's travel arrangements. We want customers to still be able to go on holiday and to not worry about their cats, should flights home be delayed. 2009
& 2010 WHATEVER THE WEATHER.... Has it really been snowing since before Christmas?! We remember the last time it did this back in the 70's (just!) Anyhow, regardless of the weather, we have been busy over Christmas & New Year, and with this weather we've still got a couple of cats waiting for their owners to get back from Tan Hill, (somewhere like that.). Anyway - don't forget, summer is just around the corner and we already have bookings - so get planning and give us a call early to beat the rush. In the meantime here are a couple of seasonal photos - Very Best Wishes to all our customers for 2010! (Editorial
note - this was written in 2009 - same applies for 2010 - just picture
more snow! Happy 2011!)
PRICE
FREEZE 2010 Once again, to match the weather, we are freezing our prices - so no change since 2008 - see HERE for full details. This also includes the change in VAT which again we will absorb. Simply Cats Vet Clinic opens, 5th May 2009 A new, "cat-only" practice has opened in our area, which although we're not using it ourselves as we have an established relationship with another vet, they may be worth you going for a look. They are well located just up from us, 2 minutes from the A690, at Fencehouses. Free parking available directly opposite the practice.I have been for a look and it's all nice and new with lovely friendly staff. They are joining the FAB Cat Friendly Practice Scheme, and for those customers who are already aware of what the FAB stands for, this may be all the recommendation you need. Although their name says it all, the two vets, Sarah & Paul only deals with cats, which from the moment you step into their wonderful new premises, means there is no dog noise or smell. They have an excellent website, www.simplycats.net, with lots of information, together with a link to their other site, dedicated to cat behaviour www.quirkycats.co.uk. Let us know what you think! |
